Comments: Funny that I cannot remember another Murphy family. After all I am a senior senior. We (Dad and Mum) and the family were in Shilo around 49/50 ish. .We were in H Huts as well before we moved into a small home. Soon we got into a larger house(duplex)at number 7 Ubique. We lived there until summer of ‘61. We moved to a rural home near Cape Sambro. We were Older brother Ernie and then Myself William, Gail,Larry,Guy,Brent,Clay. Two more kids Todd and Shannon born in Halifax NS. Hmmmmn. I was not aware of another Murph family in those years. Chuckle. Maybe when your young and at school one does not need to think about last names. Kids always just have fun. I played little league ball. And hockey of course. Waggle Springs. Douglas and Brandon. Carberry and Portage and Rivers. On and on. Loved the trains but absolutely hated the snow. Vancouver Island is Paradise….Later.

Comments: Found my dad’s old yearbook (1963) and came to this site. Was pleasantly surprised to see a photo of him (George Shallcross). He passed away May 2018. I’m sure there are others who have this yearbook but if any scans or photos could be of interest please let me know.

Comments: My brother Jeff and I lived in Shilo in 1947-8 (he was born there) and 1965-7. According to my folks the first time around there were no PMQs, just (thinly) partitioned-off rooms in H-huts. Second time around we lived on Sapper, and my bro the guitarist attended high school. He has unfortunately contracted lung cancer, but is in pretty good spirits considering. Other Shilo brats I am currently in touch with are Gerry Crowder and Diane Marsden. I encountered Wayne Helgason about 30 years back while doing some work in Vancouver, and Glenn Maclean about the same time while working in Ottawa. I'm recently retired after 53 years in IT, much of it as a contractor with DND. Best wishes to all.

Comments: It's so nice to see all of the images, brings back many memories. Although I was very young when our family left Shilo, (1965) my older siblings, have lots of memories they share. We recognize many of the names in this site.
