Sixties Shilobrats 08 Reunion

Now that Spring is near, it is time to concentrate on making plans for the Sixties 08 Reunion. As you know, those plans include the following: arranging the time off, sending in your registration and payment, booking your flight or travel arrangements and securing your accommodation. This is on a summer long weekend, book early for best choices.

Registering For The Reunion

Remembering last year, there were plans for an "all years reunion." It had to be cancelled because of low registration. After it was cancelled, many reported they were planning on coming but just never got around to sending in their registration or cheques. This was a very tough decision for the '07 reunion committee, after all their hard work. Please do not put this committee in that position.

If you want to be there, send in your registration early. You will find a registration form in the 08 Reunion pages. Please submit the form online, then to confirm, copy and send it in with your cheque to Theresa, via snail mail, or use online banking - online payment may be made to Reunion Treasurer Theresa Easterby. You will see our Treasurer Theresa’s address on the bottom of the registration form.

WEAR RED March Friday night

A WEAR RED march around the base has been organized for Friday evening at 7:30 pm. We want to "wear red" when we arrive and march down the street, clapping our hands and giving our troops a show of thanks and respect. Hopefully everyone will be in attendance to support the troops.

The march will be organized in such a way as to allow Shilobrats who wish to march for a shorter period of time to drop off at The Junior Ranks Club.

Just so there is no confusion, we are supporting our troops, not any mission that the government of the day has sent them on.

We are pre-ordering one size fits all RED T-Shirts, which will double as reunion souvenirs, by having Sixties Shilo Brats 08 Reunion printed on the back of them. (Through Wayne Helgason we have been able to get a 50/50 cotton/poly blend T-Shirts for the amazing low cost of $5.00 each.

As a result the previously posted registration fee of $50.00 will increase to $55.00, to cover this cost.

For those of you who have sent in your cheques already, we thank you, and will collect your $5.00 at the door.

Golf Tournament

Just a reminder, if you want to participate, indicate this on the registration form and send the $20.00 golf fee along with the $55.00 reunion registration to Theresa. Also notify Faye by clicking her photo on the 08 Reunion home page to let her know you are participating.

Fundraising

All profits from the 08 Reunion will be donated to the Shilo Family Resource Center on behalf of Shilo Brats. The way we will do this is two-fold: We will donate any monies left over from the reunion, and we will have a 50/50 draw, the proceeds of which will go to the center.
